The three co-founders are alumna of Dougherty Valley High School and met at the Stanford AI4ALL program in 2017 where they were inspired to create GAITEway.
Janice Yang is a student at Stanford University planning to major in computer science. Her research interests lie in medical computer vision, although she is also excited about computer vision in general. During high school, she was an intern at the Chabot Space and Science Center and participated in math competitions such as the AMC and AIME. In her free time, she also enjoys playing the violin and knitting.

Irene Yang is currently a student at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. After discovering CS and AI at the Stanford AI4ALL program, Irene was inspired to continue learning about the field and empower women in tech. In addition to running GAITEway with her incredible cofounders, she volunteered at the Chabot Space and Science Center and participated in several STEM outreach clubs throughout high school. She explored her interest in the intersection of tech and biology through her research at UCSF.

Aishani Mohapatra is a student at UC San Diego majoring in Data Science. She enjoys exploring and experimenting with new softwares and techniques, particularly dabbling in natural language processing and the intersection between AI and music. Aishani has furthered her data exploration journey through her internship at UC Berkeley doing time series analyses on the circadian rhythms of mice. When she’s not coding, she enjoys dancing and telling jokes.
